A Door of Opportunity

“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” —Revelation 3:8

The door is a symbol of opportunity. When you have the unexpected opportunity to share the good news, share it. In the Book of Acts, we see Paul and Barnabas gathering the church together and declaring all that God had done and how He had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles (see Acts 14:27). Jesus has not only opened the door of opportunity, but He also has the key. There is no person beyond the reach of God and there is always great opportunity for the gospel. God often places good works before us in the form of opportunities to share our faith with people who are outside the faith. So take advantage of those doors that God opens. We should watch for opportunities to do good, to speak the life-bringing word of God to others and to pray the rescuing prayer of intercession. As we lift up Christ, let’s tell others of our own spiritual journey and testimony. If done courteously and interestingly they may hang on every word. And the response might be overwhelmingly positive. Just remember to stay clear of coming across judgmental, aggressive, tactless, rude or demanding. You can always catch more bees with honey. 🍯 🐝
