Mark 10:6
“From the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother, and the two shall become one flesh; so they are no longer two, but one flesh.”
A biblical marriage is not just a social contract, it is a sacred covenant. A covenantal union designed by God in order to strengthen the capacity of each partner to carry out His plan in their lives. Marriage is one of the most intimate, rewarding experiences in life. Treat it with the honor, attention and love that it deserves and the glory of God will shine in your union. Good marriages don’t just happen as a result of chance or luck. They are the result of work, commitment, and attention to detail. Marriage makes two individuals even stronger as one. Couples working together toward the same goal need to communicate, cooperate and merge strengths while overlooking or overcoming each other’s weaknesses. This not only requires time; it requires an authentic commitment. In our own strength, we will utterly fail. It is only as we follow the principles in God’s Word and include God as priority that we can be the husbands and wives He has called us to be.
