A Heart of Thankfulness

There is so much to be grateful for everyday. Just being able to wake up today is a blessing in itself. When our hearts are filled with gratitude there is no way negativity can thrive in us. It can help take our attention off some our problems and keep our focus on what really matters. It also keeps us in a place of humility and dependency on God, as we recognize how much we need Him. It reminds us that He is our provider, the giver of all good gifts. We become content in the things that the Lord provides and it rids us of any envy we may have in our hearts. Most importantly gratitude brings us closer to the Lord.  He delights in our thankfulness and pours out His Spirit and favor over those who give honor and gratitude to Him. Let us always give thanks to the Lord and pray for hearts of gratitude so that we may live our days in  contentment, positivity and joy.
