Blessed to Bless

Genesis 12:2

“I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.”

How do we show the Lord that we appreciate His blessings? We express our gratitude but we also become stewards of those blessings. Every blessing we receive from the Lord is an opportunity for service. What this means is that if He blesses us with something we are to use those blessings to serve and glorify Him. Here are some examples; if He has blessed us with children…we must seek to raise them in the instruction of the Lord. If He has blessed us with money…we must use it wisely and also help others in need. If He has given us a place of leadership…we must be faithful and diligent and lead prayerfully and wisely.  If He has given us abilities and talents…we must use them to strengthen and encourage others. The Lord blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others.
