Building or Destroying Homes?

The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. -Proverbs 14:1

A woman has an important role and major influence in the household, especially when it comes to raising children. A womans priorities must be in line with those of the Lord if she wants to build a healthy and stable God centered home.  Keeping the lord at the center is crucial and can be achieved with constant prayer, staying in the word and continuous gratitude.

A wise woman always prays for her children, husband and for the knowledge and guidance to keep her family together and strong.  This will build a firm foundation for the children to grow in the Lord as well as keep the marriage together and grounded.

Much of the knowledge and guidance we gain is from scripture so reading the Bible is imperative to building strong households.  Actually, some of the answers to our prayers are in the Bible.  Staying in the Lord’s Word is the most effective way to get us through obstacles and challenges we face in our homes.

Gratitude is the one of the most important ways to gain appreciation  for the Lord’s blessings. A heart of gratidue brings forth contentment and reminds us of what’s truly important in our lives.

On the contrary, a woman who is focused on her own personal goals and happiness as priority will neglect to focus on her family.  If she is ungrateful it will only serve as a distraction and make her focus on things she doesn’t have as well as create envy her heart.

I pray that this encourages you to focus on building strong homes and raising children whom love the Lord.  Ours families depend on us.  God bless you mama!
