1 Peter 1:15-16
But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
Have you ever wondered what is the driving aim behind God’s work in our lives? God knows that our lives are brief and pass by so quickly. He longs for us to become like Christ. He loves us, and He knows that this is far better for us than any momentary gain we might think we prefer in the present moment. God molds us according to His priorities. He sees what is needed in our lives, and He leads us towards a place of greater maturity and depth. These are the things that hold lasting value and that will continue with us into eternity. May we align ourselves with the heart of God and choose to trust the bigger picture that He sees for us in our lives. God’s priorities for us are deeply spiritual and eternal. Lets stop holding tightly to the things that God does not hold tightly to and let’s stop running after the things that God does not run after. Let’s be spiritually-minded as He is spiritually-minded and let’s be wise as He is wise.
