Philippians 4:8

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.”

Your thoughts are crucial, so a clean and pure mindset is something to strive for.  Whatever you come across, choose to think on the things that encourage and lift you up. This is not to say that we must have a positive mindset all the time, a constant positive mindset can be toxic, because it won’t allow us to see our reality as it really is.  The goal is to keep our minds pure and and fixed on the Lord’s truth. God has requirements for our thought life because our thoughts guide our actions. Good thoughts lead to peace and righteousness and bad thoughts lead to sin and anxiety. The best example for a notable mindset is Jesus, his was steadfast and unwavering. With a mindset like His our thoughts will provoke encouragement, support and love. A healthy mindset is not only crucial for ourselves but is also crucial for our relationship with the Lord and others.
