Matthew 10:39
”Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.”
This is a call to faith from Jesus. God calls us by His grace and then works in us by His grace but He can’t work in us until we first die to Christ on a daily basis. We must be strong enough to look past this world and our desires, to see ourselves in Him. That’s the self that is worth finding. Let us unconditionally surrender ourselves into the hands of God in order to walk in true faith. This means giving up control of trying to do things our own way. This also means giving up things that are in control of us. Let us walk by faith and not by sight.
