Psalm 27:15
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Patience is a virtue from God, it’s a product of self-control and its pleasing to God. To wait upon the Lord is to look upward to the Lord and to fix our eyes upon Him. It may be difficult but let’s trust Gods timing. Part of waiting on the Lord is abiding in His holy will. God sees things differently than we do, so the answer to our prayers may not always come in the way we want or as quickly as we want.
Sometimes our hearts aren’t where the Lord wants them to be so we fail to hear the answers. Our faith may be lacking or maybe we haven’t even asked the Lord for what we want. Maybe the Lord is just working on our characters. While we wait on the Lord it is wise to do some self reflection and ask the Lord that He may reveal to us what we need to get rid of in our lives that doesn’t correspond with His will. And let us ask Him for grace that we might obey Him and wait confidently trusting in His goodness. God’s timing is always perfect!
