Jesus, You are Enough

Psalm 23:1

“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”

What a beautiful psalm representing true security and confidence in the Lord. The Lord is like a Shepherd who carefully tends his flock. All of our needs are supplied by the LORD, our shepherd. He takes us into his fold and then takes care of us, protects us, and provides for us. He watches over us and keeps us from being destroyed. If any of us has strayed, he brings us back. He directs our paths to what is good. We will never lack any good thing that the Shepherd wants us to have as we follow him. The Lord knows what we need and provides it in His perfect timing. We trust Him knowing that he knows what’s best for us. What a marvelous moment it will be when we come to the realization that we don’t desire more than what the LORD, our shepherd provides. For this is true contentment in the Lord.
