Out of Darkness into the Light

1 Peter 2:9

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”

Praise God that we have obtained the Lords mercy and grace. He has taken us out of the darkness and has given us salvation through Christ. We have been specifically selected by God for His own specific purposes. What a blessing and a privilege it is to be called, His special possession. With this privilege comes great responsibility which should affect the way we live. A child of God should bear a likeness to Jesus, so that others may come to know Him. Every day we represent the Lord through our words and actions. This is why we need to be filled with more of Him and less of ourselves. Let us pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us so that we may be proper representatives of Christ. Now that we live in the light, we are to be a light for others, so let your light shine.
