“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me”
John 17
When we go through temptation, hardship, despair, or doubt sometimes we tend to isolate ourselves from others. We start to feel so alone. And we start to think, “I don’t want to share this with anyone. I’m not a strong Christian.” Instead, we should ask for prayer. As believers, we should be working together and praying together. By praying together and praying constantly we put our shields together. Matthew 18:19 states, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” We are not alone in our spiritual battles. Aside from having the Lord on our side we also have fellow Christian brothers and sisters who are marching with us. We are all in this battle together. It’s about praying together, bearing one another’s burdens, encouraging one another to do good works and keeping each other focused on what truly counts. True Christianity is about true community. And true community is about the blessings of fellowship with those who share one big thing in common…a love for Christ and His Word. Welcome to the community of fellowship with one another and with Jesus.
