Isaiah 55:2-3

“Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.”

Hear and your soul shall live. All are welcome to the blessings of salvation. In Christ there is enough for everyone. The world comes short of our expectations but Christ outdoes our expectations. Our wants are beyond number and we have nothing to supply them. All the wealth and pleasure in the world will not provide comfort and content for our souls. Seek the satisfaction of Jesus only. He can only be found when our hearts are inclined to look for Him, and that inclination itself is a gift from God! When you come to God, he binds himself by an unbreakable oath to pursue you with goodness and mercy all your days right into eternity. Delight yourself in the Lord before the invitation is no longer available.
