Psalms 28:7

“The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise him.”

This verse reveals our need for God’s help. If our hope and trust is in the Lord we will receive the blessed assurance of obtaining strength from God, we’ll also have God as our strength and shield.  He is able to do exceedingly above all that we could ask or think according to our faith. Dependence upon God by faith is truly where strength and protection for the journey in life is found. It is through the test and trials of life where we are forced to seek God and find the strength needed to continue on. It is in the testing of our faith where patience is produced in us. True sufficiency for life comes from God alone. The Lord infuses strength into us in our weakness. Faith must come before help. We have to put faith into exercise and help will be given to us. Trusting in God and believing He is doing great things in our life should bring us joy no matter the circumstance. We serve a great God, so let us greatly rejoice in Him. Our heart can leap with joy because in His presence there is fullness of joy.
