Woman of Wisdom

Proverbs 14:1

“The wise woman builds her house. But a foolish woman tears hers down with her own hands.”

It’s important for us to remember to spend our energy building and bettering our homes. We should make it a place where God is honored and glorified. It should be a safe haven for our families. There is enough criticism, judgment and anger out there in this world that our loved ones shouldn’t have to come home to it as well. A wise woman promotes the best for her husband and children. She attempts to improve her mind and her conscience through prayer and reading God’s word. She also betters her heart so that she responds to others with grace and mercy. We do all of this with the help of the Lord and continual submission to God. In a rough world our home should be a loving nurturing environment for our families to return home to. It should be a place where God is glorified and placed above all else. Let us ask God for the wisdom and guidance to build our homes His way. None of these things are possible without His help. The grace and mercy God gives us daily can propel us to do better and become wiser day after day.
