God’s hidden wisdom

1 Corinthians 3:18-19

Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise. For the wisdom fo this world is foolishness in God’s sight.

Do not forget that the wisdom that this world teaches is foolishness and full of lies. Do not be deceived by worldly wisdom taught by man. Many boast in arrogance of their intelligence according to this worlds wisdom but do not realize that it is to their demise. For those that have the world’s wisdom, many are unable to discern God’s wisdom. They boast in their own ignorance and don’t even realize it. Humble yourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you all things. You do not need any man, woman, teacher, pastor, priest or anyone for this. It is the Spirit which supplies all things. 1 Corinthians 2:12, “We have not received the spirit of this world but the spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truth in spiritual words.”

How wonderful is this? God’s hidden wisdom is revealed to us; we who are simple minded and humble before Him. We may or may not be wise according to human standards but don’t forget that the wisdom of this age will soon be coming to nothing. 1 Corinthians 1:19, “For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” Therefore, do not fall into it and do not become deceived. Seek only after the wisdom of the Spirit, follow and obey the Lord Jesus Christ.
